Life demands flexibility – and online learning delivers! At WKU, we also understand that people have different learning preferences, so we help you find the pathway that works best for you.
The choice is yours!
Hybrid online degree programs require a combination of face-to-face and online courses. WKU has four campus locations in Kentucky – Bowling Green, Owensboro, Elizabethtown-Fort Knox, and Glasgow – making it easy for in-state students to choose their preferred delivery format (online or close to home), and create a plan that works best for them. Hybrid online options are ideal for those who require more flexibility, but not necessarily a fully online program. In addition to hybrid programs identified here, all of our fully online degrees offer face-to-face classes as well.
100% Online Certificates and Degrees
Degrees listed as 100% online do not require a face-to-face classroom presence. However, since we’re a state university with four campus locations, you’re free to work in as many or as few face-to-face courses as you wish.
Hybrid Online Programs
Hybrid online programs are at least 50% online, and require a combination of online and/or on demand courses + face-to-face courses. They are ideal for those who live close to one of our four campus locations, and can travel to campus for some of their courses, but not all. If you’re someone who thrives on the face-to-face interaction of a more traditional classroom setting, but whose life needs a little more flexibility, a blended program may be right for you.
