21 WKU students candidates for 2018 Coming Home King

21 WKU students candidates for 2018 Coming Home King

Twenty-one WKU students are vying for the 2018 Coming Home King. The king will be crowned Feb. 22 during halftime of WKU’s men’s basketball game versus Charlotte. Tipoff is 7 p.m. at Diddle Arena.

Candidates will participate in numerous activities including a service outing at the Bowling Green Warren County Humane Society on Feb. 20, an interview on Feb. 21 and a banquet Feb. 22. WKU students will cast their votes for the Coming Home King on Feb. 19 via TopNet.

The 2018 Coming Home King Candidates are:

  • Wood Brown of Princeton, the son of Will Brown and Jami Elam. He is a History major and is sponsored by Alpha Omicron Pi.
  • Christopher Currin of Smyrna, Tennessee, the son of Torey and Tamara Currin. He is a Broadcast News major and is sponsored by the Campus Activities Board.
  • Caleb Fulkerson of Taylorsville, the son of Mike and Tammy Fulkerson. He is a Biology major and is sponsored by the Baptist Campus Ministry.
  • Steven Gadd of Berea, the son of Kendall and Susan Gadd. He is a Biology major and is sponsored by the WKU Spirit Masters.
  • Durwan Green of Dallas, Texas, the son of Durwan and Tre’Monica Green. He is an International Business major and is sponsored by Sigma Kappa.
  • Dalton Harshbarger of Burlington, the son of Dave and Lauri Harshbarger. He is an International Business major and is sponsored by Order of Omega.
  • Jacob Hayslip of Louisville, the son of Donovan and Maryann Hayslip. He is a Spanish, Mathematics and Science/Math Education triple major and is sponsored by Omega Phi Alpha.
  • Benjamin Hopper of Paducah, the son of Brad Braun and Amy and Terry Sullivan. He is a Financial Management major and is sponsored by the Panhellenic and Inter-Fraternity Council.
  • Conner Hounshell of LaGrange, the son of Travis and Chelse Hounshell. He is a Biology and Political Science double major and is sponsored by the Student Government Association.
  • Carson Kuhl of Shelbyville, the son of Tony Kuhl and Teresa Hulette. He is an International Business major and is sponsored by Alpha Delta Pi and Pi Kappa Alpha.
  • Kyle Marr of Glasgow, the son of Gary and Cindy Marr. He is a Nursing major and is sponsored by the WKU Student Alumni Ambassadors.
  • Corey Massey of Bowling Green, the son of JV and Leigh Anne Massey. He is an Economics major and is sponsored by Alpha Tau Omega.
  • Tyler Mattingly of Richmond, the son of Tom and Lisa Mattingly. He is a Biology major and is sponsored by Alpha Xi Delta and Kappa Sigma.
  • Patrick O’Reilly of Columbia, Tennessee, the son of Tom and Cindy O’Reilly. He is a Biology major and is sponsored by Phi Sigma Pi.
  • Austin Perkins of Louisville, the son of Jeffrey and Vanessa Perkins. He is a Psychology major and is sponsored by Phi Mu and Phi Gamma Delta.
  • Owen Posey of Bowling Green, the son of Mark and Kim Posey. He is a Marketing major and is sponsored by Delta Zeta.
  • Jeff Ranger of Bowling Green, the son of Jeff and Julie Ranger. He is an Economics major and is sponsored by Kappa Delta and Phi Delta Theta.
  • Nathan Roush of Louisville, the son of Jim and Anita Roush. He is an Interdisciplinary Studies major and is sponsored by Chi Omega.
  • Jacob Tipton of Taylorsville, the son of James and Martha Tipton. He is an Economics major and is sponsored by the Honors Toppers.
  • James Wimsett of Bardstown, the son of Tom and Rhonda Wimsett. He is an Accounting major and is sponsored by Farmhouse Fraternity.
  • Max Winebrenner of Lexington, the son of Derek Winebrenner and Katherine Coleman-Davis. He is an Economics and Sport Management double major and is sponsored by Sigma Phi Epsilon.
