The Library Systems Office is a collaboration between the Libraries and WKU Academic Technology (a department of the IT Division). The staff of the Library Systems Office are members of Academic Technology who are assigned permanently, on a 100% basis, to the Libraries. This office was jointly created in 2012 following the recommendations of an independent consultant team and a Libraries self-study committee to expand and improve technology support in the WKU Libraries.
LSO Vision Statement: Provide technology support and maintain a technology-friendly environment for Library faculty, staff, and students through exceptional customer service.

The Library Systems Office is available during standard university office hours. Support is available for pre-arranged events outside of normal business hours. For support outside office hours, please contact the IT Helpdesk.

WKU Libraries Interlibrary Loan (ILL) System
Information regarding WKU Interlibrary Loan (ILL) systems.
What is Interlibrary Loan and how do I access the system?
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is an agreement among libraries to share library resources needed for research. WKU faculty, staff and students may use ILL as a supplement to the WKU Libraries. Books, journal articles, dissertations, government documents, microfilm materials, and other items may be borrowed via ILL.
Patrons with an active NetID account will have access to the system. The following patrons are eligible for ILL services:
- WKU Retirees
- WKU Staff
- WKU Students
Note: WKU affiliates and alumni are ineligible for ILL services.

Do you need help with electronic library equipment (e.g., bar code readers, ID card readers, KIC II book scanners, digital microfilm readers, copy machines)?
WKU Hardware Services Do you need help with WKU-owned desktop, laptop, printer, phone or other hardware?
Report Computer Running Slowly (Faculty/Staff Workstation)
Do you need help with a WKU-owned (non-lab and classroom) computer that is running slowly and performing below expectations?
Report Classroom/Lab Hardware Issue
Do you need help with a WKU-owned multi-user computer (classroom, lab, kiosk, or service desk locations)?
Report Printer issue
Request help for an issue that is preventing printer output due to an error message, missing print driver, paper jam, or other undetermined problem.
Request Printer Maintenance Kit Installation
A maintenance kit installation is needed for a printer.
WKU System & Software Services Do you need help with a WKU System or Software program that is not library-specific, such as networking, Banner, digital signs, email, calendars, operating systems, browsers?
Report Software Application Issue
Do you need help with a software application affecting one client? Examples include: Adobe Suite applications, Anti-Virus or Anti-Malware, Microsoft Office Suite applications, and Web Browsers (i.e., Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari).
Report WKU System Issue
Do you need help with Active Directory, Adobe Connect Pro, Banner, Blackboard, Exchange Email, Infoview Reports, Internet, myWKU (Portal), OU Campus, TopNet, or TopperMail?
Request Operating System Upgrade (Faculty/Staff Workstation)
Would you like to request an operating system upgrade for a WKU-owned single-user computer?
