The Department of Housing and Residence Life at Western Kentucky University strives to assist students in their academic endeavors. In this same vain, please know that professional staff (hall directors) and student staff (RAs) will attempt to refer students to the many resources that our campus offers. We invite you to invest in your academic pursuits and explore the following resources:
The Academic Advising & Retention Center (AARC) provides a 5th week assessment to all students in 100-level and developmental classes during the 5th week of each semester to help identify areas that may need improvement.
This office provides a wide range of academic services to undergraduate students. Specifically, the AARC coordinates all undergraduate advising across campus and advises all exploratory/undecided students.
General academic calendar that provides information about adding/dropping courses, registration dates, breaks, and finals week.
WKU utilizes Blackboard, an online course management system. Visit this page often as many courses at WKU upload content and assignments to it.
Information about the Colonnade General Education curriculum at WKU. This can be helpful as you plan courses to take in future semesters.
This program is part of a retention initiative that works directly with students who are in three developmental courses. Here, you will find access to peer mentors and South Campus advisors as well as general information about the Cornerstone Program.

The Education Resource Center is a campus branch library that supports the faculty, staff, and students of the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences with significant resources for teacher education.
Use this resource to help determine your Grade Point Average by inputting your classes and expected grades.
The Interactive Curriculum and Academic Progress system allows students to run audits on their degree program to show progress.
The Math Lab is located in College High Hall (COHH) Room 2124. The lab is available for students who need tutoring or need a quiet place to do math homework. Appointments are not necessary; students may walk in. Students in all levels of math can find help in the Math Lab. Contact the Math Lab at (270) 745-6178.
The Student Accessibility Resource Center assists in coordinating services and accommodations for students with documented disabilities.

The Technology Resource Center is a hands-on digital media facility for students that offers specialized equipment and software.
TopperTech is a technology support service available to all Western Kentucky University students in good academic standing. Provided services include hardware diagnostics and repair, software troubleshooting, network support, virus and spyware removal, and system rebuilds.
Academic Assistance includes information about the Academic Center for Excellence (where they help students in the College of Health and Human Services), information about computer labs on campus, the Chemistry Lab, Computer Science Lab, the Learning Assistance Center, the Math Lab, Math Testing Center, Modern Languages Media Center, Physics Help Center, Student Support Services, the Technology Resource Center, and the Writing Center.
